The 10th annual Pumpkin Festival in Stone Mountain Park is scheduled for every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between September 28 and October 28, 2012. Friday and Sunday hours are from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday hours are from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm with a lasershow at 8:00 pm each Saturday night.
The Pumpkin Festival has tons of Autumn activities and the festival has become one of Atlanta’s favorite places to celebrate the fall season.
There are two scavenger hunts – one for children and one that is more challenging for the whole family. At the Costume Dance Party prizes are given for different contests and surprises. Another exciting feature of the festival is the Pumpkin Palooza, a fun-filled game show. Pumpkin Palooza requires a lot of energy from each family that is picked to compete against other families in a series of challenges.
A few other highlights of the festival include storytelling, a pie eating contest, a fall-themed sandy oasis, crafts, and a chance to dress your own scarecrow!
