23rd Annual East Cobb Wine & Vine Market

winetastingToast to a cause during the 23rd Annual East Cobb Wine & Vine Market! At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16th, East Cobb Civitans will host the Wine Tasting and Silent Auction at Olde Towne Athletic Club in Marietta. Tickets cost $25.00 per adult, and guests must be 21 and over to attend.

Guests will enjoy an extensive wine-tasting and delicious hors d’oeuvres coordinated by The Wine Shop at Parkaire. Over 100 fabulous items will be offered in a silent auction, in addition to the live auction items and raffles. Guests will have the opportunity to win incredible vacation packages including: a one-week African safari, a one-week stay in Croatia with lodging overlooking the Adriatic Sea, a one week stay in Antigua, a one-week stay in Tuscany, and much more!

Other fantastic items in the auctions will feature gift baskets full of wine and gourmet foods such as: artichoke hearts, noodles, pasta, beans, alfredo sauce, artisan crackers, and other delicious treats. Bottles of fine wine, books, and luxury accessory items will also be presented throughout the auctions.

The annual event is the largest fundraising activity for both the East Cobb Civitans and Friends for the East Cobb Park, providing funding for the special events that are held in the park, including: Holiday Lights, Sunday Fundays, and other seasonal events. The Friends of the East Cobb Park is the volunteer organization responsible for purchasing, developing, and donating the land of the East Cobb Park to Cobb County. They continue to develop the park through the addition of pavilions, playground equipment, walking trails, overlooks and bridges. They also sponsor a variety of community events in the park.

To date, this “Wine & Vine Market” has raised over $141,000.00 for the East Cobb Park and well over $200,000 for local charities such as: MUST Ministries, The Center for Family Resources, The Center for Children and Young Adults, and Camp Big Heart.
