The Kids II Strong Legs Run returns for its 30th year on Saturday, November 1st at Turner Field in Atlanta.
As one of Atlanta’s largest and most popular road races, more than 5,000 runners are expected to participate in the multi-race event! The event includes a 10K Road Race and 5K Walk/Run, which are both qualifiers for the 2015 AJC Peachtree Road Race.
Registration for the races begins at 7:00 a.m. The 10K Road Race will kick off the day at 8:00 a.m. with the 5K Walk/ Run beginning shortly after at 9:15 a.m.
Participants are also welcome to join in the family fun at the 2K Fun Run, 2K Stroller Roll, and the Mascot Trot!
The Mascot Trot is open to children 10 and under where they will be joined by mascots from schools, universities, companies, and many of Atlanta’s professional sports teams. The fee for the Mascot Trot is $12 and includes a special Mascot Trot participation ribbon. The 75-yard dash begins at 10:00 a.m.
The 2K Fun Run and Stroller Roll will follow at 10:15 a.m. with registration ranging from $12 – $20 per participant.
Join in the post-race festivities alongside B98.5 and other local companies for entertainment, awards, free giveaways, and delicious food from Atlanta’s favorite vendors! Photographers will also be taking photos at the finish line and throughout the post-race celebration, so participants and attendees will have the chance to have a memento from the family-friendly event.
Race proceeds directly benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Whether treating a toddler in an emergency or supporting a teen through chemotherapy treatments, Children’s is dedicated to the care of each patient.
