The 49th Annual Pace Academy Fall Fair is scheduled for Saturday, October 20, 2012. The fair takes place at the Pace campus located at 966 W. Paces Ferry Road. Hours are from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Pace Academy is hosting its 49th Annual Fall Fair and the entire community is invited! This year’s theme is all about wizards, and guests will be able to celebrate education and Halloween while inside the transformed “Chamber of Wizards” campus.
A street market will feature shopping booths from over 80 vendors, and there will also be a few raffles at the event. For the kids, there will be an abundance of activities including: laser tag, a flippity do da video maker, a green screen, inflatables, fair games, a wax hands booth, and a light graffiti photo activity.
There will also be plenty of food and refreshments provided by Buckhead Pizza Company, Cafe at Pharr, Chick-Fil-A, Honeysuckle Gelato, Willy’s, Pace’s own Knight’s Grill, and several other vendors.
One of the goals of the festival this year is to make the fair more eco-friendly. The event staff has taken extra efforts to provide more recycling bins at the festival and even the fair t-shits are made from recycled goods. Another festival attraction is The Potting Shed. Artistic fairgoers can decorate recycled shoes and pot plants inside them, creating a cute and environmentally friendly planter. There is also a donation being held, where you can donate unwanted books and media including CDs, DVDs, video and computer games, and electronic game systems. Donate items at the Rooms-To-Go truck parked at Pace Academy’s Rilman Road entrance through Oct. 5 during the morning and afternoon carpools.
Online tickets are available for the event through October 15. There are two packages available including an early-purchase package for $13 ($15 on Fair day) which includes 30 Fair tickets and two teacher raffle tickets. The $50 value package includes a wristband that is good for most of the fair activities and this package also includes 20 tickets for use at “ticket-only” activities, and 8 Lower or Middle School teacher raffle tickets. The raffles are open only to students in their respective divisions.
