The 11th annual Taste of the Highlands will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2013. The festival is held at the John Howell Park located off of Virginia Ave NE in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta. Hours are from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
The Taste of the Highlands is the perfect chance to taste all of the delicious food from several of the popular Virginia-Highland neighborhood restaurants. Tickets are $50 in advance and they include unlimited food and drinks. The price even includes alcoholic beverages for those who are 21 and up. At least 40 restaurants will be serving up their special dishes, with cuisines of pizza, pasta, tapas, fondue, BBQ, and ice cream. Some of the favorites are: Alma Cocina, Ecco, South City Kitchen, Alon’s Bakery, Barcelona, The Family Dog, Murphy’s, STK, and more! Guests can bring blankets and chairs to have an area for friends to sit and mingle while enjoying the tasty food and drinks.
VIP tickets are also available for $70 and they include special perks, such as: premium food and beverages from exclusive restaurants, a separate reserved entry and private tented area, separate VIP only restrooms, tables and chairs, and beverage runners who bring drinks to your table. There are also discounted tickets for students, and tickets at the door are $60 if they’re still available.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
