Hi, I’m Liz, an educator turned Realtor who loves meeting new people and helping them through the home transaction process. I’m also a wife, mom, coffee-addict, chocoholic, home décor enthusiast, who is excited by travels and new adventures. Here’s a little insight into the life of Liz.
Why real estate?
I have always had a love for Real Estate. From the time I was a little girl, my family and I would spend Sunday afternoons looking at open houses. I’d be giddy as soon as I stepped over the threshold to explore a new home. That same feeling I had as a kid continued and eventually led me to take the plunge into Real Estate. I strengthened my communication and planning skills during my seven years as an educator. I pride myself on having a nurturing personality, have always felt fulfilled helping others, and love fostering relationships through new and old friends. Between my patience and strong work ethic, I ensure you that I will do all that it takes to make you a happy client. Whether you are a first-time or seasoned home buyer or seller, I would be delighted to help you reach your goals!
What is the best part of being a Realtor?
Seeing my clients happy! One of the main reasons I got into this business was I love helping people. I get that “warm-fuzzy where you can’t stop smiling” feeling when I have helped clients achieve their goal of finding the perfect home to settle into or sell a home to move onto their next adventure. Even better, forming friendships that go far beyond the closing table.
My (at times crazy) family who are the most supportive, selfless individuals I know. I must start with my rock, Tyler, a real estate developer, who I met towards the end of our time at Clemson. We’ve been together ever since, married in 2010, and welcomed our first child, Grayson, last January. It’s pretty safe to say he has us wrapped around his little finger. My parents reside in Acworth, Georgia, so we’re spoiled when it comes to babysitters. I have one brother, Andrew, who lives in Charlotte, NC, and is getting married to his college sweetheart, Katie, in June. These are the ones who encourage me on a daily basis, are my #1 cheerleaders, and make me want to live up to my fullest potential.
They always say, “Home is Where the Heart is”…
…and I couldn’t agree more. Nothing makes my heart fuller than being with my two boys. More specifically, I lived in an Atlanta suburb following college, but we now reside in the family-friendly community of Brookhaven and have for the last four years. We love all that it and other walkable neighborhoods have to offer. Our top three favorite things about Brookhaven are walking to the Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings, running around Historic Brookhaven, and grabbing dinner at any of the restaurants along Dresden Drive.
What do you do when you aren’t helping home buyers or sellers?
Typically when I carve out time from helping my clients, it’s to spend time with my family. We enjoy traveling, especially to Clemson, SC to cheer on the Tigers, and spending our Sunday mornings at Peachtree Presbyterian church, where we are the social chairs of our Sunday school class for 2015. I’m actively involved with the Junior League of Atlanta, serving on the Tour of Kitchens committee this year, as well as ALTA, playing on both women’s and mixed teams year-round. I also have a blog that focuses on family, fashion, and home projects/decor. While it’s been neglected between having Gray and beginning my real estate career, it gets a little lovin’ every now and then. Check it out here: settlinginonsylvan.blogspot.com
I am thrilled to be a part of the Morris Raney Real Estate team and would be truly honored to help you!
