Atlanta Area Easter Events 2013

Happy EasterSpring is near and so is the Easter Holiday.  Here is our list of some of Atlanta’s Easter-related events, egg hunts, photos with the bunny, and places to get brunch on Easter Day!

Easter Bunny Photos – Several Atlanta area shopping malls will have the Easter Bunny at the mall for photos before Easter Day.  Perimeter Mall, Phipps Plaza, Town Center at Cobb, and North Point Mall are just a few, and some locations even have days where you can bring your pets to take a photo together with the Bunny.

Governor’s Mansion Easter Egg Hunt – Date and time TBD.  The 11th annual event will feature some of the same fun activities as in years past.  There will be an Easter bunny, an egg hunt, cupcake and Easter egg decorating stations, face painting, and other games and activities.

Dinosaur Egg Hunt at Fernbank – Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.  The Fernbank Museum of Natural History will have several dino-egg hunts for different age groups throughout the day.  Advanced registration is required for the egg hunts.  There will also be other games and giveaways sponsored by Radio Disney.

Meet the Holidays: Easter – Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31, 2013.  The Children’s Museum of Atlanta will celebrate Easter by teaching children about the holiday, and guests will get to make their own Easter bonnet.  Kids will also enjoy a special reading of Duck and Goose, Here Comes the Easter Bunny! by Tad Hills.

Callanwolde Eggstravaganza – Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.  Three Easter Egg Hunts will take place at different times for various age groups at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center.  There will also be an Easter Bunny, homemade baked goods and Spring-themed arts and crafts for sale, and a chance to win Atlanta Braves tickets and other prizes.

Marietta Easter Egg HuntMarietta Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Cobb County’s largest egg hunt takes place at Jim Miller Park.  Other activities at the event include the Easter Bunny, children’s art activities, live entertainment, inflatables, concessions, and more.

Norcross Bunny Bash Breakfast – Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.  The Lucky Shoals Park Recreation Center in Norcross is hosting a fun day with a breakfast, pictures with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, and other Easter and Spring-themed crafts and activities.   Advanced registration is required.

Easter in Roswell – Various dates and times.  Roswell has tons of fun events to celebrate Easter.  There is a Breakfast with the Bunny, an Annual Egg Hunt, a Flashlight Egg Hunt, and a cooking class to learn how to make the perfect Easter brunch.

Other Easter Egg hunts will also be taking place at many of Atlanta’s Churches and places of worship.  Several of Atlanta’s restaurants will be serving a special brunch on Easter Day.
