Atlanta area Holiday Shows 2012

With the holidays just around the corner, here is our list of Atlanta area Holiday shows for 2012.  

A Christmas Carol at Alliance Theatre – November 23 through December 23, 2012.  The Alliance Theatre at the Woodruff Arts Center performs the Charles Dickens’s classic Christmas tale to audiences who wish to join Scrooge on his journey of ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.

The Santaland Diaries at Horizon Theatre – November 23 through December 30, 2012.  The Santaland Diaries is an outrageous holiday comedy that tells the story of an out-of-work writer who’s working as a department store elf.  Intended for mature audiences. 

Nutcracker at Fox Theatre – December 7 through 26, 2012.  The Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker brings the classic magical adventure alive with its enchanting characters and traditional story.

Roswell Cultural Arts Center Holiday Shows – various performances from November 23 through December 15, 2012.  The Roswell Cultural Arts Center has performances of the Nutcracker, Babes in Toyland, and the Winter Polar Express during the holiday season.  Each show is great for all ages, and it will get the whole family in the holiday spirit.,#CID24

Madeline’s Christmas at Horizon Theatre – December 8 through December 30, 2012.  Madeline’s Christmas show brings the popular children’s character to life with a musical tale of Madeline and her friends on a wild holiday adventure.  Perfect for the entire family.

Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer at Center for Puppetry Arts – November 8 through January 6, 2013.  Based on the classic television special, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer tells the story of Rudolph and all of his misfit friends.

A Christmas Carol at the Shakespeare Tavern – November 29 through December 23, 2012.  The New American Shakespeare Tavern has very special adaptation of the timeless classic.  The audience will be taken on a journey through London with Scrooge, 3 ghosts, and Tiny Tim.

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra at Atlanta Symphony Hall – various holiday shows from December 6 through December 22, 2012.  The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra brings several holiday favorites to Atlanta again this year.  Their holiday performances include: Christmas with the ASO, ASO Kid’s Christmas, Handel: Messiah, ASO Gospel Christmas, and A Very Merry Holiday Pops.  Each show will feature popular holiday songs that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit.

Have a Holly Jolly Murder! at Agatha’s – November 8 through January 9, 2013.  Agatha’s – A Taste of Mystery theatre brings comic mystery to the holiday season.  Is Santa a suspect?  Will the children get their gifts on time?  Audiences will enjoy a five-course dinner while participating in the holiday murder mystery show.
