Taste your way through Atlanta’s Battle of the Burgers on Saturday, October 18th from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The annual tasting event takes place at John Howell Park in the Virginia Highlands, and all ages are welcome.
25 of Atlanta’s favorite restaurants will fire up their grills and feature their signature burgers as they compete for the title of Best Burger in two categories: People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice. Even vegetarians will have their pick of delicious burgers to sample, as contestants have the option to enter both meat and meatless dishes – and if you’ve ever tasted a burger in Atlanta, you know these restaurants know how to work their magic on the grill!
The tastings are unlimited, so bring your appetite and prepare for a day filled with delicious food, drinks, and incredible entertainment. Live music will fill the stage with performances by local musicians and bands, ranging from classic rock ‘n’ roll to the blues and favorite cover songs. For the younger burger lovers, an entire Kids Zone will be available, complete with live magician performances, balloon animals, and an inflatable bouncy castle!
If you’re looking to earn that burger, a 5K Race will kick off the day 9:00 a.m. in John Howell Park. The race packet will include a variety of goodies from race t-shirts, to coupons. You can build a burger 100 meters away from the finish line, or simply enjoy the post-race snacks and coffee provided by Dunkin Donuts.
General Admission to the Battle of the Burgers costs $25 in advance and $35 at the door. VIP tickets will also be available for $50 in advance and $60 at the gate and include extras such as: a private bar with unlimited beer and wine, an exclusive VIP tent, a special gift bag from Grapeworld, and access to the Game Day Xfinity package so you don’t miss a moment of the big game. VIP ticket holders must be 21 and up. Children under 10 may also be admitted for only $10 per ticket to the festival.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Embraced Atlanta, a non-profit whose mission is to provide assistive mobility and prosthetic devices to individuals in need both locally and globally. Additional wheelchair and walker donations will be accepted for the organization at the morning 5K race.
