Buckhead’s 175th Anniversary Celebration

Buckhead's 175th Anniversary CelebrationThe Buckhead Heritage Society is hosting Buckhead’s 175th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, March 1, 2013.  The event takes place at the Buckhead Theatre located at 3110 Roswell Road in the heart of Buckhead.  Event hours are from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

As the Buckhead neighborhood marks its 175th year, this anniversary celebration focuses on “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.”  Buckhead began as a small crossroads community in 1838, and the 175th anniversary celebration will take place at the hub of where the neighborhood was founded.  Guests will enjoy an evening party at the fabulous Buckhead Theatre.  The celebration will be filled with great music, dancing, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres.  One of the other highlights of the event is a photographic retrospective of Buckhead’s history that will educate and entertain guests.  These photographs will also encourage attendees to share their own memories of this ever-evolving community.

Tickets for Buckhead Heritage Society and Buckhead Business Association Members are $150, and tickets for non-members are $175. There are also various sponsorship levels available for corporate and individual sponsors.

The event is hosted by the Buckhead Heritage Society along with the Buckhead Business Association.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the Buckhead Heritage Society, which works to improve the Buckhead neighborhood, while also preserving historic sites in the area.
