Dunwoody Home Tour

The 40th annual Dunwoody Home Tour will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.  The tour is hosted by the Dunwoody Women’s Club.

This year, five homes have been selected for the tour.  Among the homes are a house that was recently part of the set for a movie with Billy Crystal, a home with furniture that was replicated from the furnishings that filled the late Princess Diana’s family home, and a rustic river retreat that has a state-of-the-art spa including a steam shower and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

The event is $25 in advance and $30 at the door.  They can be purchased online or at several Dunwoody area retailers. There are approximately 1,000 tickets printed and they usually sell out.

All 130 members of the Dunwoody Women’s Club volunteer to work the event.  They serve as guides for each house and provide history and other facts about the home to the visiting guests.  Participants enjoy learning about each home and picking up some new interior design ideas, as well.  Proceeds of the event benefit Dunwoody through the Dunwoody Women’s Club community service projects.
