The 5th annual Hearts and Hands Gala is Sunday, October 5th at the Georgia Aquarium. The Reception starts at 6:30pm and Dinner is at 7:30pm. The Gala will raise money for the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities (ARMHC).
The Gala hosted by WSB-TV’s David Chandley, will feature a black-tie seated dinner, live and silent auctions, and a performance by triple-threat Broadway star Megan Hilty. In an effort to add to the evening’s fundraising, the auctions will include prizes such as fine dining experiences, travel and entertainment packages.
For the past 4 years, the sold-out event has raised over $1 million in net proceeds for the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. This year the goal is set at $425,000 to benefit the two Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses.
If you are not familiar with the Ronald McDonald House Charities, it is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of children by providing temporary housing and support services to families of ill and injured children being treated at local children’s hospitals. The two Atlanta Houses have provided a home away from home to more than 42,000 families of ill and injured children since the first Atlanta House opened in 1979.
This year a special tribute to honor the life and legacy of Linda Morris, ARMHC’s President/CEO, will be presented at the Hearts and Hands Gala. Linda passed away in April due to complications from breast cancer.
