Holiday Festivities in Centennial Olympic Park start on Monday, November 19, 2012 and go through Sunday, January 27, 2013. The popular downtown Atlanta park will host it’s annual Holiday in Lights and the Ice Skating Rink will also be open.
The Holiday in Lights is an Atlanta tradition that transforms Centennial Olympic Park into a winter wonderland. Thousands of lights create a sparkling display and each year there are new and unique elements. The 21-acre park will be glowing with lights, and the 58-foot holiday tree is a must-see. The park is open to the public every day, including Christmas Day. Hours are from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, and there is no admission to get into the park.
The Ice Skating Rink at Centennial Olympic Park is also open every day from November 19, 2012 through January 27, 2013. Enjoy downtown Atlanta’s only outdoor ice skating rink with the park’s beautiful holiday lights surrounding you! Admission is $10 for skate rental and 90-minutes of skating. Hours vary depending on the day, but it is generally open until 10:00 or 11:00 pm most nights. Student and group discounts are also available on certain days.
