The Andrews Entertainment District is celebrating one of the South’s most distinctive past-times at the Andrews Moonshine Festival this Fall. Buckhead’s first moonshine festival takes place on Saturday, October 18th at 2:00 p.m. and will feature over 50 varieties of moonshine ranging from apple pie to peppermint and prohibition tea flavors.
Guests can participate in four interactive tasting seminars and enjoy special appearances from guestings including NASCAR Champion Bill Elliott, who will be showcasing his very own White Lightening from his Dawsonville Moonshine Distillery. Live music will provide the perfect backdrop to the unlimited tasting event with the sounds of country from the Gary Ray Trio. The Troy & Sons Distillery classic Ford F135 moonshine truck and Bill Elliott’s Dawsonville Moonshine Stock Car will both be on exhibit at the festival.
General admission is available for $15 per ticket and includes: tastings of over 50 national and local varieties of moonshine, live music and entertainment, unlimited access to the Water, Sweet Tea & Lemonade Station, and a complimentary Andrews Moonshine Festival Tasting Book. VIP tickets are also available for $30 each and include: an exclusive early VIP reception from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., a Meet-and-Greet with the distillers and special guests, admission to your choice of four different seminars, and a complimentary Andrews Moonshine Festival tasting book, Midnight Moon mason jar shot glass, and gift bag. VIP guests will also be invited to participate in craft beer, wine, and bourbon tastings.
All proceeds from the Andrews Moonshine Festival will benefit the Shepard Center, Atlanta’s private, not-for-profit hospital specializing in medical treatment, research and rehabilitation for people with spinal cord injury and brain injury. Last year, Shepherd had 992 admissions to its spine and brain inpatient programs and 571 to its day patient programs. In addition, Shepherd sees more than 7,600 people annually on an outpatient basis with a mission and focus on rehabilitation.
