“Live in the Park” at Blackburn Park

brookhavenResidents of Brookhaven are invited to enjoy “Live in the Park,” a free concert at Blackburn Park presented by the Brookhaven Office of Tourism. The concert takes place from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th and is open to attendees of all ages!

Four musical acts will perform throughout the day, opening with Mr. Greggy to entertain and amuse the children in the crowd. Following the opening acts, live performances will be featured by: Nathan Shepard, a north-Georgian singer/ guitarist whose inspiration comes from the era of seventies pop and folk music; and Housebroken, Atlanta’s own band performing Power Rock Classics. The headlining band is Journey Resurrection, a Journey tribute act from Nashville, Tennessee. Come dance and sing along to Billboard top favorites such as “Only the Young” and “Don’t Stop Believin'” as you enjoy the park’s crisp Autumn weather!

The festival will feature delicious BBQ, a variety of food offerings, cool beverages, and a fun-filled Kids’ Zone to entertain the entire family. Football fans will also be able to catch the big game as the Big Screen will show the Falcons take on Ravens in Baltimore.

This concert is free with ample lawn seating, and people are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and/or blankets. No outside coolers or food will be permitted within the festival, but there will be plenty of options to choose from and enjoy!
