About the Grant Park Conservancy
Beginning as a group of concerned Atlanta residents who recognized the need to protect Atlanta’s oldest park from the demands of increasing usage and declining maintenance, the Conservancy works independently (and alongside the city of Atlanta) to raise funds to carry out its core mission and to make the beautiful greenspace available to residents and visitors alike.
The Conservancy assists the city of Atlanta in maintaining the park. As the fourth largest park in the city, there is a lot of space to maintain. Volunteer groups generously donate their time and resources to maintenance projects including mulching, weeding, removing invasive plants, repairing and painting structures, picking up trash and more. These volunteers include individuals, clubs, corporations, fraternities, sororities and school groups of all ages.
