Stone Mountain is honoring our nation’s troops and their families with the 3-day spectacular event, Salute The Troops! The Memorial Day tradition takes place from Saturday, May 23rd through Monday, May 25th.
The special salute to the troops will feature an extended fireworks finale and brand new fire effects at the Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision. A trio of flames will shoot nearly 100 feet into the air from the three flame cannons, adding a special punch to the celebration. The special new fireworks display features a choreographed musical tribute honoring our brave troops as multi-colored bursts spray across the sky and dance on the water at the base of the mountain.
While celebrating Memorial Day, enjoy a fun-filled day of activities with the whole family! Go on a 4-D journey in the new “Rio: The 4-D Experience” where the last blue macaws on Earth work together to dodge beach balls, umbrellas, carnival floats, and beach-goers in the adventure of a lifetime. Trek through the treetops on the nation’s largest family adventure course at SkyHike, and cool off at the Geyser Towers where multiple levels of suspended rope bridges and net tunnels connect you to towering platforms overlooking the gushing geyser. SkyRide, the mountain’s most popular attraction, will be open to transport guests 825 feet in the air to the top of the mountain.
As a special thank you for for their service, all active and retired military personnel will receive a free adventure pass and special discounts on activities, food, and merchandise for immediate family members.
