2011 Photos with Santa Around Metro Atlanta

Santa is starting to make many appearances around metro Atlanta. We compiled a partial list of places you will have Santa photo opportunities. Not only can children sit on Santa’s lap, but some places will give pets a chance to have their pictures taken with Santa.

  • The Avenue at Forsyth – Santa arrives November 13th! , enjoy free children’s activities, carriage rides, an watch Santa magically light the tree. Every Sat, enjoy complimentary photos with Santa and carriage rides until December 17th.
  • Bass Pro Shop – The Winter Wonderland will have activities and games for the kids and get a free picture with Santa! Santa’s hours vary so check the website for times.
  • Cumberland Mall – November 19, 2011 – December 24, 2011
  • East Cobb Park – Santa arrives at 7pm as part of the annual lighting of East Cobb Park. The full event starts at 5pm.

34th Annual Alpharetta Tree Lighting

The 34th Annual Alpharetta Christmas Tree Lighting will be held Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 5pm. There will be entertainment for residents of all ages. Activities include caroling, face painting, train rides and strolling elves. Once the tree has been lit, Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by firetruck. Make sure to bring your camera to get pictures with Santa. The festive event will take place in the Milton Square City Park at Milton Ave and Main Street. Attending an open house is an excellent opportunity to tour the school, meet faculty and staff, ask questions and examine the curriculum. Art Show in Historic Roswell

My husband and I went to Historic Roswell this weekend and discovered a great art gallery, Taylor Kinzel Gallery. The gallery is located at 16 Elizabeth Way, Roswell, GA 30075.

One of my favorite artists there was Lisa Moore. Stop by this Friday, September 30th from 6:30-9:00 to see “Ovations” new works by Lisa Moore. Meet the artist and see her collection of fresh romantic works of art. There will be wine and tastings provided by Indigo and music by Eric Peterson.

2011 Johns Creek Fall Family Festival

Enjoy in Johns Creek’s annual outdoor festival fun. The Johns Creek Fall Family Festival will have arts & crafts, carnival games, moonwalks, obstacle course, music and food. Residents of all ages will have fun at the 2011 Johns Creek Fall Family Festival. The festival will take place Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 10am – 3pm at a location to still be announced. Taste of Alpharetta

May 12th, 2011 | 5:00pm – 10:00pm | Old Milton Parkway at Wills Park

Over 50 Alpharetta restaurants will come together to share samples from their impressive menus. Samples will include appetizers, entrees and desserts. Admission is free but samples will range from $0.50 – $3.00. In addition to sampling, there will be demonstrations, inflatables for the children, live entertainment, art exhibits and more.

Park and walk options are available and free park and ride shuttle options will also be available.
