Celebrate the Holidays at Atlanta Botanical Garden
Holidays in the Garden is an annual event that runs November and December at Atlanta Botanical Garden. The Garden will have an impressive display of Holiday Model Trains, along with holiday decor including an 18 foot tall poinsettia tower. Botanical Express ride on train, holiday puppet shows, a rein-dog parade, Holiday Chocolate High tea, and even get a glimpse of Saint Nick with be some of the great festive activities. 2nd Annual Morningside Mile Race & Block Party
The first Morningside Mile Race in 2010 was a huge success so it’s back for a 2nd year. The 2011 Morningside Mile Race & Block Party will take place Sunday, October 16th from Noon – 3pm. At high noon, the 1 mile run/walk will start in Virginia Highland at the corner of Lanier Boulevard and Virginia Avenue. The course ends at Doc Chey’s (1424 N Highland Avenue) in Morningside.
