Mix and mingle with Atlanta art lovers at The High Museum of Art’s Third Annual Collectors Evening, Friday, January 20, 2012 at the W Atlanta Midtown Hotel. Help the Museum build its permanent collection while meeting face to face with the High Museum curators and other collectors from across the Atlanta area.
The 41st Annual Cathedral Antiques Show & Tour of Homes is coming to the Cathedral of St. Philip in Buckhead. The Cathedral Antiques Show will feature an array of paintings, jewelry, textiles, porcelain and silver from the 18th and 19th century. The High Museum’s newest exhibit features more than 100 works from fourteen 20th century artists. The exhibit features works from Andy Warhol, Picasso, Matisse and runs through April 29, 2012.
On November 5, 2011, one of the largest juried arts and crafts shows in the Southeast will take over the Marist campus. The 2011 Holiday Traditions will include 225+ artists from around the Southeast. Holiday Traditions will also have a bake sale and raffles. The Cooked Goose Cafe will be serving lunch. Take in the sites and sounds of the annual Fall Jonquil Festival while strolling in downtown Smyrna. Over 150 handmade arts and crafts booths will be featured along with a fresh market, live entertainment, children’s section, and food. Around 15,000 visitors will be be at Village Green in downtown Smyrna on Saturday, October 22nd from 10am to 6pm and again on Sunday, October 23rd from noon to 5pm. The weekend of September 17 and 18, 2011, the Roswell Town Square will become an outdoor art gallery. Creative works will be on hand from artists around the county. Along with art, there will be live entertainment and a kids activities area.
