The 11th annual “AMUSE’UM” benefit will take place Saturday, February 22nd from 7pm-11pm. The fundraiser event takes place at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta located at 275 Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW in downtown Atlanta, near Centennial Olympic Park.
The Children’s Museum will be celebrating its 11th birthday with its 11th annual fundraiser. This years’ adult-only fundraiser is themed AMUSE’UM – Hop…Skip…Jump Around the World. The Museum will be transferred into a cultural mecca featuring internationally inspired cocktails and cuisine. The 6th annual Decatur Old House Fair will be held Saturday, February 8th from 9am to 4pm. This event will be held at the Marriott Courtyard Decatur Hotel and Conference Center located at 130 Clairemont Ave., Decatur, and is hosted by the City of Decatur and the Georgia Historic Preservation Division.
The Decatur Old House Fair is the only home-show in the Southeast dedicated entirely to older homes. The 12th annual Battle of the Bands is scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2013. The event takes place at the Georgia Dome located in downtown Atlanta. The doors open at 2:00 pm and the show starts at 3:00 pm.
This invitational showcase is open to the general public and it was created to celebrate, support, and recognize the excellence in various marching bands across the country. Several marching bands have competed in a tour over the last few months, and the top 8 marching bands will perform in this final showcase. The 29th annual Kids II Strong Legs Run is on Saturday, November 2, 2013. The event takes place at Turner Field located at 755 Hank Aaron Dr SW in downtown Atlanta. The 10k begins at 8:00 am and the other races will follow.

This week marks the first ever Atlanta Gallery Week! 17 galleries all across town have banded together to provide exhibitions, temporary installations and performances on each evening of this week-long event. The 5th annual Hearts and Hands Gala is Sunday, October 5th at the Georgia Aquarium. The Reception starts at 6:30pm and Dinner is at 7:30pm. The Gala will raise money for the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities (ARMHC).
The Gala hosted by WSB-TV’s David Chandley, will feature a black-tie seated dinner, live and silent auctions, and a performance by triple-threat Broadway star Megan Hilty.
