Did you see the article in USA Today titled “Lenders paying Borrowers to do Short Sales”? That USA Today article and others like it sure set our phones on fire!

While the articles seem alluring, hopeful, and glamorous (as glamorous as short sales can be), stories of homeowners being given anywhere from $3,000 to $35,000 to work out a short sale, are just not reality for most homeowners. Short sale success in East Cobb

We had a wild ride on this one! Shunai wanted to sell her house in Tucker and buy a home in East Cobb in the Walton High School district.

I listed her home in Tucker and successfully got it under contract. We intensified our search for the perfect home in the Walton High School district. We found a home in the Easthampton neighborhood, a great swim/tennis neighborhood in East Cobb, close to The Avenues. It was a short sale. There were multiple offers…ours was the winning bid!  Then the waiting started…..month after month with no word from the bank or the agent!  Finally, after four months of waiting, we got the good news…the short sale was approved. Shunai was working with an excellent lender, Jack Levin with Regions Mortgage so we were ready to close immediately!
