Kick off the morning with a festive parade, explore a new neighborhood, and end the exciting holiday with a number of spectacular fireworks. The festivities are stretching all through the holiday weekend and into the week, so you won’t want to miss a moment of the fun!

  1. Red White & Brew
    Thursday, July 4th
    Georgia Aquarium

    From 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., Celebrate Independence Day a bit early this year with over 500 aquatic species! New this year, guests will enjoy access to the entire the Aquarium. In addition to magnificent views, guests will feast on classic BBQ from Wolfgang Puck Catering, sip on unlimited beer samples, and hear live music from The Regulars Band.
  2. Chastain Park 4th of July Parade
    Thursday, July 4th
    Chastain Park

    Decorate your bikes, strollers, golf carts (and yourselves!) to earn bragging rights and win prizes at the 11:00 a.m. parade. The grounds of the Chastain Pool House and the Chastain Tennis Center lawn will host fun family entertainment, including: Double Bouncy Slide, Basketball Pop a Shot Hoops, Petting Zoo, Face Painting, Lawn Games (corn hole, giant jenga, ladder ball, ring toss and more!), delicious food, and more!
  3. Fireworks in Fourth Ward
    Thursday, July 4th
    Historic Fourth Ward Park
    The festival will offer family-friendly activities, including cornhole, face painting and more. There will also be bites from local vendors and food trucks, King of Pops, and pours from New Realm Brewing Company and Old Fourth. Once the sun sets, the evening will culminate in a grand fireworks show!
  4. Fourth of July Extravaganza

    Children’s Museum of Atlanta
    Kids will love celebrating in the fun and air conditioned environment of the Children’s Museum as they march in the children’s parade, engage in storytime, sing patriotic songs, and enjoy indoor “fireworks” made with bubble wrap!

    Thursday, July 4th
    Decatur Square

    Decorate your wagon, ride your bike, skate, or walk in the annual parade beginning at 6:00 p.m.! Live music follows in the community bandstand at 7:00 p.m. with a fireworks show at 9:00 p.m. Neighborhoods and organizations are encouraged to make floats and join the fun too. And don’t forget your red, white and blue!
  6. AJC Peachtree Roadrace
    Thursday, July 4th
    Buckhead, Lenox to Piedmont Park
    Lace up your running shoes the morning of July 4th and join in on the largest 10k in the world! Participants are encouraged to run or walk throughout the race beginning at 7:30 a.m., kicking off  one of the city’s favorite July 4th traditions.

    Wednesday, July 3rd

    The pre-4th block party will feature live music, local eats, inflatables for children, and more! Pull up a chair  or dance along to listen to live music, watch the fireworks at dusk, and enjoy post-festivity libations and fun throughout the city. The festivities run from 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m
  8. Chamblee Fourth of July Celebration

    From 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., the celebrations includes fun for the entire family, one of the best fireworks shows around, live music, and local food. Enjoy a corn hole tournament, train rides, a bike parade, and more!

    Stepping off at 9:00 a.m., the annual Fourth of July Parade features marching bands, floats, clowns, animal units, and local celebrities! this year’s theme is: Happy Birthday, Dunwoody!
  10. Fourth of July Rooftop Bash

    Ponce City Market

    Come out to the rooftop of Ponce City Market for delicious barbecue, craft cocktails, live music, entertainment, and of course – Atlanta’s best firework views! In partnership with Ponce City Market, Old Fourth Ward will be hosting “Fireworks in Fourth Ward,” so this evening is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the city’s most panoramic firework display!
