2020 Holiday Happenings at Atlanta Botanical Garden

It’s the most magical time of year, and the Atlanta Botanical Garden is filled with holiday wonder all season long!

In addition to the beloved Garden Lights, Holiday Nights spectacular display, there are plenty of ways to festive through the end of the year – all in one place! Come get your jolly on with the 2020 Holiday Happenings at Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Member Premiere Night
November 12th
5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Members will experience a sneak peak of the 2020 Garden Lights, Holiday Nights display, and this year is more magical than ever! In addition to the new bedazzling exhibition, Alice’s Wonderland Reimagined,  Members will enjoy:

  • See the illuminated fantasy giants of Alice’s Wonderland Reimagined
  • Return of the beloved Ice Goddess twinkling in lights
  • Garden Gift Shop
  • Complimentary treats

Holiday Model Train Show
November 14th – January 16th
9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Take a journey around the holiday model train garden! G-scale choo choo trains and a holiday trolley chug along six tracks in an imaginary, beautifully planted mountain landscape. They emerge from tunnels, cross bridges over rippling water, and soar across trestles. Small towns, train stops, and other structures dot the landscape.

Ride-On-Train
Weekends | November 14th – January 3rd
The trains depart during Garden Lights, Holiday Nights hours & regular daytime hours.

All aboard The Botanical Express! The popular children’s Ride-on-Train is set to depart on a journey in the Garden. $3 per passenger. Watch in delight as the trains emerge from tunnels, cross bridges over rippling lake, and soar across trestle bridges. Small towns, train stops, a holiday workshop and other unique features dot the landscape.

Reindog Parade

The Reindog Parade is going virtual! Join the once-a-year fun of dogs in their most festive gear! Dress your pooch in holiday finery to compete for prizes or to just show off, and connect with local canine enthusiasts and businesses.
