The mission of the Decatur Book Festival is to bring together writers, publishers, booksellers, and book-lovers alike to celebrate the written and spoken word. No genres are prohibited or excluded from the festival, and festival-goers are encouraged to find their next favorite book! Writers, journals, publishers, writers’ groups, artists, and many other groups and individuals celebrate the written word, encouraging readers to pick up a new favorite book from an array of genres, including: romance, history, health and wellness, science, religion, poetry, and more.
