The mission of the Decatur Book Festival is to bring together writers, publishers, booksellers, and book-lovers alike to celebrate the written and spoken word. No genres are prohibited or excluded from the festival, and festival-goers are encouraged to find their next favorite book among the festival’s wonderful Book Market & Street Fair featuring 150 booths offering food and drinks, music, and storytelling. The booths are taken by writers, journals, publishers, writers’ groups, artists, and many other groups and individuals celebrating the written word. Pick up a new favorite book from an array of genres, including: romance, history, health and wellness, science, religion, poetry, and more.
