The 14th annual festival welcomes guests for a day of delicious food, incredible live music, art, competition, and even a 5K race! We have you covered with this year’s highlights:

7:30 a.m. | Registration: $30

Lace up your running shoes and work up an appetite before the day’s festivities! Great for runners of all abilities, the ROMP 5k is one of Atlanta’s most popular 5K runs featuring a fast, flat course through historic Cabbagetown. Participants will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt and free chili at the Festival!

Join the Festival’s giant picnic as you enjoy old time & bluegrass music from all over the South. The full lineup of music takes place in the center of Cabbagetown park, so bring a blanket and get ready to dance up an appetite!

The festival-favorite games always bring out the best in Festival guests. Hop on over to the Main Stage for Bobbing for Sprouts, Cabbage Shredding, and Slaw Eating Contest.

Get your $5.00 spoon at any of 4 Welcome Centers and sample your way through the competition! Chili tasting starts promptly at 12:30 p.m., so don’t be late! The winners will be crowned at 5:30 p.m. on the Main Stage.

If getting your fill from chili isn’t enough, local food vendors will be on the scene serving up your favorite dishes. Chili and beer pairings will also be available, compliments of Sweetwater Brewery and Hand-Picked Atlanta.

Taste a leisurely stroll through the Artists Market wrapping around the top of the Festival. Over 65 artists come each year to showcase their works, so you’ll have no problem finding something special to take home!

  • Proceeds from Chomp and Stomp directly benefit the care and maintenance of Cabbagetown’s parks and community spaces.
