Decatur Lantern Parade

Due to concerns over COVID-19, the Decatur Lantern Parade has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 29th, 2020.

The Decatur Lantern Parade invites you to light up the night! Kick off the Decatur Arts Month and celebrate summer by parading to the downtown square in Decatur alongside the Black Sheep Marching Ensemble.

Line up at Color Wheel Studio at 508 E. Howard Avenue after 8:00 p.m. to parade to the downtown square at 9:00 p.m.!

Community participation is what makes the Parade so magical with crafted lantern hats, illuminated parasols, globe lanterns, and more! All ages are invited to join in staying up late on this special evening in Decatur.
