Dunwoody Nature Center Butterfly Festival

ButterflyFestivallogohorizsmwCox2The widely-loved Dunwoody Butterfly Festival returns on Saturday, August 20th to the beautiful grounds at Dunwoody Park. The event takes place from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with the early member preview beginning at 9:00 a.m.

In addition to the festival’s main attraction of two enormous tents filled with thousands of butterflies, this year’s festival will feature the Nature Center’s expanded deck space and Main Stage. Guests will enjoy entertainment all day with a variety of games, crafts, animal encounters, and discovery stations located throughout the park!

Capture the magic with Keith the Magic Man, participate in Mr. Jason’s Music Party, and explore Dunwoody Honey throughout the day. Festival-goers are invited to enjoy face painting, attend the Birds of Prey Show, explore their way through Discovery Stations, and enjoy a day filled with family fun!

Frozen treats from Dippin’ Dots and Paraide Shaved Ice will be available for purchase in addition to grilled lunch options and mouth-watering beverages. Be sure to taste the festival’s signature Larval Lemonade! Moondog Growlers will also be on the scene with craft beer available for attendees 21 and over. All food and beverage concessions are cash-only.

The Butterfly Festival is a rain-or-shine event. Spirited Butterfly Festival guests are also encouraged to wear costumed butterfly wings and antennas available during the festival!
