Light Up Brookhaven is bringing a sleigh full of joy complete with falling snow, twinkling lights, and a visit from St. Nick and his reindeer!
November 29th, 2018
6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Kicking off with a visit from Santa, the fun-filled evening has activities for ages from 1 to 92! Music, games, crafts, and giveaways will lead up to lighting of the City’s new 40-foot Christmas tree and dazzling Hanukkah decorations. For the first time ever, members of the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta will join Rabi Brian Glusman to light the City’s Hanukah Menorah. Patients from CHOA will join Mayor John Ernst in flipping the switch to light the City’s holiday tree.
Manmade snow will set the mood as holiday tunes fill the air from the Salvation Army Band alongside the Montgomery Elementary and Marist School choirs. Be sure to bring your cameras to snap a photo of your children with Santa and his reindeer! The first 250 kids to arrive will receive free flashing necklaces along with candy canes and other holiday snacks.
Warm up on the cool November night with hot chocolate and s’mores from the Girl Scouts, and fill up on a variety of festive treats! If you’re feeling hungry for more, Flavor Rich and the Royal Pig BBQ food trucks will be on hand selling wings, chicken, salmon, tacos, shrimp, burgers and more.
In the spirit of giving back, Toys for Tots will be collecting unwrapped toys to help those less fortunate share the magic of the holidays. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Buckhead Yard Greetings, and Gunnison Tree Specialists are all sponsors of Light Up Brookhaven.
