May-retta Daze

Marietta’s annual May-retta Daze returns the first weekend of May to celebrate its 40th year. The two-day festival is fun for all ages, and free to attend!

Featuring over 100 local area exhibitors and artists, handmade goods will be showcased by the artists including: paintings, pottery, woodwork, metal, glass, fabric, soap, candles and more. Live music and children’s activities will also entertain throughout the event.


Large inflatables will be available for kids to hop and play on, and this year’s fest features a special Parks and Recreation “Touch a Truck” activity on Saturday where children of all ages can get up close to City of Marietta police cars and fire trucks!


Festival-goers will be able to explore all throughout Marietta Square. in addition to the festival fun, Marietta shops will also be open, and local restaurants will be serving your favorite dishes. Get a taste of history by stopping into the Marietta History Museum, the Marietta Fire Museum, and the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art.

On Saturday, the Marietta Square Farmer’s Market will be open form 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. where you can pick up some great local produce, meats, and even a special treat!

May-retta is the traditional pronunciation of Marietta, although now it is more commonly pronounced Mary-etta. May-retta Daze (Marietta Days) is a festival featuring artists and their arts and crafts that are produced without machines, manufacturing and mass-production.
