Atlanta’s newest attraction, SkyView Atlanta, is a 200-foot ferris wheel in the heart of the city. Located at the south end of Centennial Olympic Park, at 168 Luckie Street NW, the ferris wheel offers a unique skyline view. The attraction is open every day of the week and the hours of operation are: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, and on Friday and Saturday it’s open from 10:00 am until 11:00 pm.
The new Atlanta Ferris Wheel, called SkyView Atlanta, climbs heights of almost 20 stories high. The 42 gondolas are climate-controlled, so guests can comfortably enjoy their ride in the hot summer months, as well as in the chilly winter months. Each gondola holds up to 6 people and they are also wheelchair accessible. The “flight” lasts about 15 minutes long and is four revolutions around the wheel. It is a great way to see Atlanta from a unique bird’s eye view!
Tickets, including tax, are $14.45 for adults, $13 for seniors and members of the military, and $9.10 for children. Kids ages 2 and under are free, and each gondola must have an accompanying adult.
VIP “Flights” are also available for guests who want an extra special experience. VIP patrons will get to skip the line and then take a double flight in a fancy VIP gondola with a glass floor and leather seats. They will also receive a SkyView Atlanta VIP lanyard, and will enjoy the private ferris wheel experience. SkyView Atlanta also has a VIP area that can be reserved for parties and private events.
