When January 6th, 2018 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Instead of placing the tree on the curb (which will eventually end up in a landfill), bring it to one of the several “Bring One for the Chipper” tree recycling events. This annual Georgia Christmas tree recycling program has recycled almost 5 million trees.
A new, permanent exhibition has opened at Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Children will be able to learn while having fun in the Fernbank NatureQuest. The 7,000 square-foot, $8 million expansion allows children to interact with nature. Kids will have a blast exploring the multi-level clubhouse, learning about fish in the virtual river, seeing what animals made their way through the exhibit and so much more.
