Bring One for the Chipper

Now that Christmas is over and you start to take the decorations down, you may think to yourself,  “What am I going to do with this tree?”It’s time to Bring One for the Chipper!

Instead of placing the tree on the curb (which will eventually end up in a landfill), bring it to one of the several “Bring One for the Chipper” tree recycling events. This annual Georgia Christmas tree recycling program has recycled almost
5 million trees.

Sunday in the Park | Oakland Cemetery

Oakland Cemetery is celebrating 40 years of Victorian tradition and fun at the Sunday in the Park festival! Families will enjoy a day filled with living history theatre performances, tours, an artists’ market, food trucks, live music, storytelling, crafts for kids, and a historical costume contest.

Fernbank NatureQuest

A new, permanent exhibition has opened at Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Children will be able to learn while having fun in the Fernbank NatureQuest. The 7,000 square-foot, $8 million expansion allows children to interact with nature. Kids will have a blast exploring the multi-level clubhouse, learning about fish in the virtual river, seeing what animals made their way through the exhibit and so much more.
