As part of European Masterworks: The Phillips Collection, a selection of iconic works from Monet, Van Goh, and Picasso will be making their way to the High Museum of Art during its next big exhibition!
April 6th – July 14th, 2019
In total, 75 sculptures and paintings will be featured from the collection of Duncan Phillips, who opened the aptly named museum of modern art in 1921. A remarkable array of these European Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and Expressionist artworks will be on display, inviting art lovers to experience Phillips’ personal collection which has not travelled together in over 20 years.
The exhibition will feature works from:
Eugène Delacroix, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Honoré Daumier, Gustave Courbet, Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley, Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh, Pierre Bonnard, Georges Braque, Nicolas de Staël, Alberto Giacometti, Wassily Kandinsky, Henri Matisse, Amedeo Modigliani, and Pablo Picasso.
