- Eat fresh and support local farmers. Visit the Farmers Market in nearby Brookhaven. The Brookhaven Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 9am – 1pm, late April through December. The Brookhaven Farmers Market takes place in the parking lot behind Haven and Valenza at 1441 Dresden Drive.
- Recycle. DeKalb County offers a free voluntary recycling program. Click here for DeKalb County recycling brochure and application. There are also drop off bins for mixed paper at all DeKalb County Fire Stations and many DeKalb County Public Buildings.
- Drive less, take MARTA. There is a Brookhaven MARTA rail station along with bus routes that will take you to numerous locations throughout Atlanta and Atlanta suburbs. The Brookhaven rail station offers free same day parking and paid long term parking.
Annual Events
A Taste of Chamblee – Held each October, A Taste of Chamblee celebrates the diverse restaurant community in Chamblee. The event features SEC and ACC college football games on two GIANT LED screens in the Beer Gardens, a friendly KidZone.- Chamblee Summer Concert Series – Beginning July 4th, the Chamblee Summer Concert Series brings the community together to celebrate the sunny days of summer.
- Fourth of July Celebration – The annual 4th of July and concert celebration is held each year at Chamblee City Hall, located at 5468 Peachtree Road, Chamblee 30341. Admission is free.
Parks & Recreation
Chamblee is home to eight neighborhood and community parks, one ride-share park, and the Rail Trail.
Arrow Creek Park – Located at 4445 Buford Highway, Arrow Creek Park has a dog park, multi-use fields, picnic tables and best of all, three outdoor Pickleball courts!- Keswick Park– Located at 3496 Keswick Drive, Keswick Park is the largest park in Chamblee, with more than 45 acres. The park features a dog park, a softball field, tee-ball field, soccer field, multi-use field, two tennis/pickleball courts, a playground, and an outdoor basketball court. The park also features 15 acres of green space with walking trails.
- The Rail Trail – The Chamblee Rail Trail is 1.96 miles long and currently runs from Keswick Park’s softball field to Peachtree Road. The trail also has two east/west segments to explore.
- Ride Share Park– Chamblee’s Ride Share Park is located at the corner of Peachtree Road and Chamblee Dunwoody Way. It functions as an easy pick-up/drop-off location for rideshare companies like Lyft and Uber, and boasts several interactive sound sculptures. The park includes vertical percussion chimes and drum seating that can be played to create music as you wait for your ride. Chamblee’s first rideshare park is not only filled with the sound of music, but with the delightful sights of vibrant public art.
