Avondale Estates Christmas Tour of Homes
Join Avondale Estates in the holiday spirit as the 32nd Annual Avondale Estates Christmas Tour of Homes returns for 2024! Adding to the festive cheer, the entire city will be glowing with holiday lights—from every street to the Avondale Estates Business District and plazas. Residents are encouraged to join the tradition and help “Light Up Avondale!”
2024 Event Details

3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Avondale Holiday Market
Noon – 6:00 p.m.
The six homes on this year’s tour represent the various styles of architecture in our city will be featured for the tour.. In past years, two of the Avondale “originals” were built when the city was established in 1926, alongside a 40s bungalow, two recently renovated 50s bungalows, and an entirely updated 60 two-story home.
2024 Holiday Market
One of our favorite parts about this tour is nearly everyone in town participates in the tour and market – either by opening their homes, decorating the city, volunteering as hosts and hostesses, playing music, entertaining visitors on the trolleys, creating something for the market, sponsoring the tour in whatever way possible, or even by enjoying the tour itself! This year’s market will include most of the old favorites selling their hand-knitted scarves, pecans, jewelry, photography, bird feeders, smoked salmon, jams and ornaments.
Tickets are available for $20 in advance or $25 the day of the tour.
