Welcome, December! With the new month ahead, we can’t help but jump right into the holiday season with our Top 11 Happenings Around Atlanta This Weekend: Thursday – Sunday, December 2nd – 5th, 2021.

Even while social distancing, you can help spread joy across the city in a unique way with the Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade-in-Place! This year’s festivities are a great way to celebrate creativity and build community while keeping Atlanta safe
Map & Locations Kicking off the week, the map will be published on Monday, September 21st. A digital map will contain live updates on where to see the best lantern light displays! Walk, bike, or drive around town to get involved throughout the weekend.

Recruit your team of 8+ friends, grab some beers, and have a day of nostalgic outdoor fun! Atlanta Field Day is just like field day in grade school, built with adults in mind. This year’s event will feature some Field Day classics, as well as a variety of new games including: Bubble Gauntlet, P.D.I. Relay, Grass Twister, Tug-O-War, Eating Contests, Backyard Wheelbarrow Race, Photo Booth Scavenger Hunt, Back is the New Front Relay, Giant Paper Airplane Toss, and more!
2021 promises even more new games and fun surprises!
Sunset Summers returns in 2021 for another great music series at Park Tavern on Sunday evenings! The weekly concerts continue all summer long with alternative performances from Atlanta’s most buzz-worthy artists through September.
Including an elevator and stairs with bike runnels, the new access point for the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail is projected for completion in April. Construction on the project is being completed by New City Development, connecting the Eastside Trail to Historic Fourth Ward Park as part of the 22-mile loop.
Back in November 2020, glass was installed around the elevator shaft alongside the erection of two bridge structures. Formerly the Gateway Trail, the U-shaped path entwined landscaped grasses and trees to connect the trail to the park. Throughout the construction, all area business have remained open, and the health of the surrounding oak trees have been preserved through nutrient injections.
From Krog Street Market to Park Tavern, the East Side Trail on the Atlanta BeltLine connects some of the best restaurants and bars in town. Join your friends and local community to try them all at the Spring Edition of Pub Crawl on the BeltLine!
