Lace Up and Chase the Tides at the Georgia Aquarium 5K!
Georgia Aquarium’s 2024 5K Walk/ Run is back with options to run both virtually and in-person! Returning for its 7th year, the Peachtree Road Race Qualifier invites you to walk. jog, or run anywhere you’d like at your own pace – all for a great cause.

Whether you choose to run in-person or at home, all runners will receive a running bib, medal, and commemorative t-shirt. All proceeds from the Georgia Aquarium 5K go toward Georgia Aquarium’s research and conservation programs directly benefiting aquatic species, including sharks.
In-Person Race Details
The in-person race takes place at Georgia Aquarium and starts on Saturday, March 9th at 8:00 a.m. The 3.1-mile Peachtree Qualifier course heads out through the streets of downtown and neighboring Georgia Tech, back to the Aquarium.
Virtual Race Details
Virtual participants can run anywhere of their choice at their own pace! Run those 3.1 miles in your neighborhood, at a local park, on the shore, or even a treadmill – You just need to submit your results online and enjoy knowing you’ve helped our oceans!
