Friday Jazz returns to the High Museum of Art for an entirely new twist on your favorite musical experience. Not your typical Friday Jazz, enjoy an evening with a signature cocktail and music in two locations throughout the Museum!

Relax with a cold cocktail, explore the museum’s permanent collections, and enjoy the incredible variety of jazz from straight ahead to free jazz, bebop to swing, and more. The immersive experience will feature local talents layering notes, improvising melodies, and drawing on inspiration from jazz history.

November’s Cocktail: A Stitch in Time
Inspired by the Patterns in Abstraction exhibition and the Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Guild, this cocktail features Buffalo Trace bourbon, toasted peaches and brown sugar syrup, peach puree, lime juice, and a dash of spiced ginger ale.

Music will be held at the Atrium and on Orkin Terrace
Gallery Talks & Docent Tour begins at 6:30 p.m., meeting in the Taylor Lobby.
Justin Powell
Justin Powell (born 1986, Tucson, Arizona) has collaborated and performed with such artists as Gorillaz, Atlanta Pops Orchestra, Johnny Mathis, The Isley Brothers, Eric Church, Josh Groban, American Authors, Shania Twain, Frankie Valli, and Tituss Burgess. As an educator, he coaches ensembles at Kennesaw State University and is currently an Artist Affiliate at Emory University. Powell is part of the Terminus Horns, which is a multi-genre horn section based out of Atlanta.
