The atrium will be filled with the sights and sounds of the holiday season, complete with holiday music and a live 40-foot tree! With some new surprises and old favorite (like pictures with Santa himself!), the Georgia Aquarium invites you and your family to take in all the magic of the holidays.
Holiday Tree Lighting
Get in the holiday spirit with the lighting of the 40-foot each morning at 10:00 a.m., and join Santa as he welcomes guests and wishes everyone a happy holiday season!
Photos with Santa Claus
No holiday season is complete without a snapshot with Santa, and he can’t to hear your holiday wishes! During your Aquarium visit, capture a photograph with Georgia Aquarium’s own seaside St. Nick.
Holiday Themed Presentations
Join along to celebrate the spirit of giving! Each day during Holidays at Georgia Aquarium, exciting new presentations showcase the Aquarium’s amazing animals, teaching guests all about the bottlenose dolphin and California sea lion in fun and festive ways. Reservations are required, but the presentation is free with your general admission ticket!
Scuba Claus
When St. Nick isn’t busy building toys or flying in his sleigh, he occasionally likes to take a dive with some of his favorite fish friends in one of the world’s largest marine habitats, Ocean Voyager, built by The Home Depot. He doesn’t dive every day, and likes to surprise us when he does! Catch Santa if you can and take a quick selfie if you do.
Live Music
The holidays are upon us, and the Georgia State University School of Music is celebrating all season long! Get into the holiday spirit as various ensembles perform your favorite classics every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. through December 23rd.
New Year’s Celebration
Join along to ring in the new year at Downtown Atlanta’s most unique New Year’s Eve party. You’ll experience exclusive after-hours access to all aquarium main galleries, live entertainment, cocktails and food, and a midnight champagne toast to the new year!
