Virginia Highland Winterfest Returns This Holiday Season!

Join Virginia Highland’s warm community in a winter wonderland at the return of Winterfest! Kicking off with a Tour of Lights, the family fun continues with a Jingle Jog, Holiday Parade, incredible holiday market, and live music.

Kick off the weekend by exploring the neighborhood’s most vibrant holiday decorations! The Tour of Lights will guide guests through private gardens and beautifully adorned homes with beverages and treats along the way.

Tour of Lights Block Party
Friday | 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Brighten up your holiday season with Virginia Highland District’s Tour of Lights Block Party! Enjoy an evening amongst the best lit houses in Virginia Highland, live music, food, refreshments, and plenty of hot cocoa.

Jingle Jog
Saturday | 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Virginia Highland District is excited to bring back the annual Jingle Jog! The Jingle Jog will start at University and Lanier and circle back at Los Angeles. It will be a 2.2 mile fun run that everyone can enjoy! Every ticket purchase comes with a free drink voucher (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). A pre-race stretch session will be provided by Pure Barre at 8:30 a.m. for those who want to arrive early and warm up. Bells are available for participants to wear. Please feel free to dress up in festive holiday attire! Kids under 12 run for free.

Holiday Motor Parade
Saturday | 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Show off your VaHi holiday spirit by participating in the Winterfest Holiday Parade! Parade participants will be warming up Lanier Blvd with holiday cheer with a flurry of floats, festive music, and costumes galore. The parade concludes where the Gift Market begins, so that everyone can all enjoy some holly-jolly shopping!

Gift Market
Saturday | 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Find great stocking-stuffers and gifts worth giving this holiday season all while supporting local small business owners! This year’s market will feature a selection of 60 vendors, 11 sweet and savory food trucks, and 11 Young Entrepreneurs selling curated goods and crafts.
