For residents looking to watch college level sports, the Brookhaven Bucks baseball team plays throughout the summer at Oglethorpe University. The Bucks are part of the Sunbelt League, whose mission is to provide top-level college baseball players an opportunity to compete in a wooden-bat summer league. Players are recruited from all over the southeast and many players on the Bucks team are athletes that attend various universities such as: UGA, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Ole Miss, and North Georgia.
